Match report - game 4, 22nd April 2009

A controversial start to the game with the game ball gone missing James was not about to play with any other apart from the game ball. The Referee was insisting play went on. Kick of started with James out of the Penalty area screaming stop play. Play was finally stopped and James and the Referee were sharing words. Eventually a red card was presented to James, as you can imagine this made him very happy. A player short and Magid took over James’s position as Goalie.
James recovered the Game ball from the other court and play commenced about 7 minutes into the game.

Bitheadz showed all momentum early with some unfortunate attempts at goal were stopped by the Goalie.

Van got involved in an unlucky decision for a red card after he tackled a guy and the guy went down hard. A yellow card at worst should have been presented but with our luck of course it was red. The opposition felt that van unfairly dealt with the infringed player and another fight was brewing. In our most recent encounters this was welcomed but with 2 already out this was probably not the best idea. Van our most vital striker was now off for the remainder of the game.

Half time and after a good talking to the official the decision to have James on the sideline was reversed after it was agreed it was for the good of the game. James came out firing ready to make a means for his absence in the first half. He had a couple of very close attempts until a fast break with Shane and James forward as a result of great skills from James as he laid off a pass to Shane which resulted in a goal.

Nhan was making his presence felt with great defensive pressure. The opposing team struggled as he was just too good down back. Brad had a few solid attempts at goal keeping their keeper on his toes. Magid continued his great keeping by stopping numerous attempts from goal until a lucky strike from one of their strikers made it passed in the last 6 minutes of the game.

The result, a very impressive 1-1 draw a player short as the team quite happy with the Result.
